Setting: Modern New Orleans

Live fast, fight hard and if you have to die then take as many of your enemies with you as you can. That is the Amazon credo and it was one Samia lived and died by. Shapeshifter Dev Peltier has stood guard at the front of Sanctuary for almost two hundred years and in that time, he’s seen it all. Or so he thought. Now their enemies have discovered a new source of power- one that makes a mockery of anything faced to date.

The war is on and Dev and Sam are guarding ground zero. But in order to win, they will have to break the most cardinal of all rules and pray it doesn’t unravel the...

The Story Behind The Story

Dev is one of the best love of the Peltier clan. Once Bad Moon Rising was finished, I knew I had to go on to his story. Sam is one of the original DH I created way back when. I've always loved her, and I thought at first I was going to put her with Roman. But when I sat down to write Dev, she was the only one I knew who would do his story justice.

Hear it from the Fans

I loved this book. Dev and Sam were amazing together.

Dev has always been my favorite of the bears. Glad that he was paired up with Sam.. They make a cool pair. Looking for them in future books.

Are these books for teens?

Jezebel Bane, January 16, 2012

A lot of teens read them, but they are written for an adult audience and have adult themes and issues. The Chronicles of Nick and manga are written for teens.

I love your books. But this book and bad moon rising had me in tears. I love Ash but these two books brought so much more emotion than ash's story. These are my favorites!

I just have to know...where did Ethon ended up after their "There is no place like home" Wizard of Oz moment?! And I'm happy Dev got his HEA. But I;m sad for Remi.

Minnie Medina, August 6, 2012

" Good luck" in French is Bonne chance and not Bon chance. Chance (luck) is a feminin noun, not masculin so the adjective must be feminin too. That is a mistake I've noticed when reading the book.

hakki, August 3, 2013

They don't speak French in the book, they speak Cajun which is a different language with different conjugations, nominatives, spellings, etc. In both Cajun & Creole French it is spelled Bon Chance. Sherri is extremely fluent in both Cajun and traditional French, as well as Old/Medieval French and Latin.
