The Story Behind The Story

The entire concept of the Dream-Hunters started from a slip of the tongue while Sherri was talking about the Dark-Hunters. No sooner had the word come out then she had the idea for the dream branch of the Hunterverse.

The idea of using disco in the book comes from Sherri's childhood. Her older sister used to play it constantly when she was little, prompting Sherri to whine like a pooch in pain. When she started writing Dream Hunter, she put it in as both a tribute to her sister's obsession, and as an acknowledgement that that would have been the time when Tory's parents came of age, and it would have been something they'd have played around Tory when she was a child.

Hear it from the Fans

Hey, I just recently started reading the dark hunter series(recently discovered) but I just got done reading The Dream-Hunter. I'm confused. The events in The Dream-Hunter seem to happen before Kyrian, Talon, and Wulf get their souls back, before Kat meets Cassandra and Sin. Why is this book after those events? If you can please email me with an explanation. Love the books btw keep'em coming Sherrilyn!

Because it contains spoilers that if you read it earlier would have spoiled certain things. Plus it comes right before Kat's book and Acheron's and relates directly to those events, not the earlier books.

I love all your books, and The Dream-Hunter is one of many that I can never seem to put down once I've picked it up. But I have a question. Why doesn't Trieg have a profile?

Olivia, November 9, 2013

I named my sone after this man in your book. Arik. When I had him I felt like he did that it brought light into my life. He was killed but I still feel like the visits my dream. Thank You

Am I right in thinking that this book takes place before Dance with the Devil and possibly before Night Pleasures?

I found this tale very realistic with a open mind of course. Its characters were introduced with esqusit details. I can hardly wait to read the next book. Thank you for writing it
