The Hero: Seth

The illegitimate son of the Egyptian god Set and a human, Seth was taken out to the desert by his mother and left there to die. She'd tried to give him to his father, but Set had refused, saying Seth was too weak and puny to keep. More than that, Set seriously resented Seth's mother naming such a pathetic creature after him. But fate wasn't through with him. He was found by a pack of Were-Hunter jackals who took him in as one of...

The Story Behind The Story

I've been wanting to get back to Solin ever since he appeared in The Dream Hunter. I adore his sarcasm that gives Nick's a run for its money. But Xypher and Jericho got in the way. I was actually going to do Jericho's and then Solin's because Jericho's had to come first in order for Solin's to be set up, but...

Darn you Xypher :)

That being said, if you don't read them in order, you won't be lost at all. If you read them in order, then you will have the full story of why Solin is locked in Azmodea.

I have to say that this book constantly surprised me. Not since Zarek, Nykyrian, Darling,...

not counting the short stories in anthologies, all of the Dark-Were-Dream Hunter, C.O.N. and League series are available in Hardcover - why isn't this one?

alex, August 4, 2013

They're not all. The DH books weren't in hardcover until Dark Side of the Moon and none of the Dream-Hunter novels (which is what the Guardian is counted as) was released as hardcovers. The publisher is in the process of releasing a special hb edition of the backlist, 1 per year. They're up to Kiss of the Night that will be out in hardcover at Christmas.
