His mother was killed by Zeus (due to a trick of Hera’s) before he was born. He was saved by Hermes from going up in flames (his mother wanted to see Zeus god form and when she did, she, a human, couldn’t handle it). Zeus then sewed him into his thigh.
Hard to be born that way…
Makes you wonder if Zeus still limps.
Needless to say, he doesn’t think much of Hera. His moods are mercurial and he would really like to be worshiped by more people than drunken frat boys.
